Mini Wizards Summer 2026
Get ready for another magical season with the Kings Ridge Mini Wizards! Our developmental team is designed for younger swimmers (generally ages 4–6) who are ready to bridge the gap between lessons and the regular swim team. The program focuses on preparing athletes by instructing them on proper body position, kicking, correct arm strokes, and essential swimming techniques.
We are excited to announce that we are expanding our program this year to accommodate more young athletes!
📅 2026 Season Schedule & Sessions
The season will run from June 18th through July 16th. To ensure a high-quality coaching environment, we will operate two distinct sessions:
- Session 1: 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM
- Session 2: 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Important Dates:
- First Practice & Evaluations: June 18th. All swimmers will be screened at this time for skill requirements. Coaches will then assign swimmers to one of the two sessions based on their ability level.
- Mini Wizard Meet: Friday, July 17th at 10:30 AM.
Requirements & Readiness
The Mini Wizards program is a developmental team. To participate, swimmers should meet the following criteria:
- Swimmers must be comfortable in the water, willing to put their head under, and able to propel themselves across the shallow end without touching the bottom.
- Swimmers are organized into ability levels ranging from Level 1 (focusing on bubbles, floating, and freestyle) to Level 3 (focusing on freestyle, backstroke, and preparing for breaststroke).
- If a child is not yet ready for the developmental team, private or group lessons can be arranged with our coaching staff or lifeguards.
Program Highlights & Fees
- Cost: The registration fee for the 2026 season is $110 per child.
- Team Spirit: Mini Wizards are part of the family! Swimmers are invited to join in all the fun team events, including Friday night spirit nights!
- Advancement: Coaches continuously assess skills throughout the season. Minis who demonstrate readiness may be given the opportunity to advance to the 8 & under team practice.
