Head Coach Wanted!

The Kings Ridge Water Wizards are seeking an energetic, experienced, and dedicated Head Coach to lead our team for the upcoming summer season.

Kings Ridge is a welcoming, close-knit community focused on stroke development, sportsmanship, personal improvement, and team spirit for swimmers of all skill levels, ranging from ages 5 to 18 (along with our developmental Mini Wizards program). We are looking for a leader who fosters a positive environment while pushing our athletes to reach their full competitive potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Coaching: Plan, organize, and execute daily morning and afternoon practices tailored to various age groups and skill levels. Oversee and mentor assistant/age group coaches.
  • Meet Management: Lead the team at all Time Trials, Saturday A Meets, Monday evening B Meets, Relay Carnival, Divisionals, and All-Stars. Complete weekly meet lineups and entry sheets in a timely manner.
  • Technique & Development: Focus on fundamental mechanics, stroke technique, starts, turns, and continuous skill advancement. Provide clear, constructive feedback to swimmers.
  • Team Culture & Communication: Build enthusiasm and team spirit by actively participating in pep rallies, team social events, and traditions. Maintain clear and professional communication with swimmers, parents, assistant coaches, and Team Representatives.

Qualifications & Criteria:

  • Previous head coaching or extensive assistant coaching experience (summer league, high school, or year-round club experience preferred).
  • Strong technical knowledge of swimming fundamentals and familiarity with NVSL rules and meet procedures.
  • Current Pool Operators, Lifeguard, CPR/AED certifications (or ability to secure prior to season start).
  • Ability to complete NVSL-required SafeSport and Concussion training prior to the start of the season.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and team management skills.

Compensation:

Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Opportunities to supplement income through private swim lessons and masters swim.
