KRSC is open from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend exclusively for its Members in good standing and their guests.


a. The names and addresses of each member will be kept in the guard office. For entrance to the pool, members must present their photo identification cards. The cards will be kept at the front desk and returned to the members when they leave the pool premises. Guests of members will sign in to the guest book and pay the required fee. Guests may only come to the pool with a member in good standing, and must leave the pool when the sponsoring member leaves. The pool management staff will check each person entering the pool and will deny entrance to those who are not members or guests accompanying members.

b. Full-time baby-sitters, 16 years of age or older, may be admitted in lieu of parents when approved in advance by the Board of Directors.

c. Part-time baby-sitters, 16 years of age or older, may be admitted with a note of authorization from a parent and approval of the Pool Management.


a. When school is out, Swim Team will practice between 8:00 and 11:00AM before the pool opens. No other swimmers are permitted in the pool or wading pool during Swim Team practice. Younger siblings not practicing must be out of the water and supervised at all times.

b. Swim lessons will be given between 10:30 and 11:00AM. Swim lessons and swim team hours are subject to change by mutual agreement of the Operations Chairperson and the Pool Management.

c. The Pool Manager or Assistant Manager may, at their discretion, close the pool due to inclement or hazardous weather.

d. The pool will be closed as necessary for maintenance operations. At such time, no one is permitted within the pool enclosure except pool management staff.

e. The Board of Directors may authorize the closing of the pool for Club-sponsored special events and membership functions. Closing notices will be posted at the pool entrance in advance of the event.

f. The pool manager will maintain a 1:25 ratio of guards to members on the premises, however parents are encouraged to be mindful of their children when in and around the pool.


As specified in the By-Laws, guests of members will be admitted to the pool.

a. Guest Fees: $5 per person, per visit

b. Members may either purchase guest passes in advance at the guard house or pay guest fees at the time of admission. Guest passes are $25 and allow for 6 guest visits.

c. Under no circumstances may lifeguards that are on duty bring guests to the pool.

d. All guests must be accompanied by a pool member, 16 years or older. In cases where a member 16 years or older is not available, a younger member may, with a note from a parent, accompany day guests.

e. Members shall be held responsible for the conduct of their guests and responsible for any damage to Club property. The cost to repair any damages caused by a guest to Club property shall be charged to the member.

f. Rules for reciprocity privileges with other KPW pools will be posted at the pool annually.


a. All persons using the pool are requested to take a soap shower prior to entering.

b. Admission shall be refused any person having an infection, disease, sore or inflamed eyes, cold, nasal or ear discharge, or any communicable disease of any kind. Further, persons with excessive sunburn, open sores, poison ivy, or bandages of any kind will not be admitted to the pool. Band-aids are not allowed on persons entering the water.

c. Spitting, spouting of water, or blowing your nose in the pool is strictly prohibited.

d. Kings Ridge Swim Club is a smoke free pool. Smoking on Kings Ridge Swim Club property (including parking lot and driveway) is prohibited.


a. Only one person is permitted on the board or ladder at any time.

b. All divers must use the ladder to mount the diving board.

c. No objects may be taken on the board or thrown across pool to be caught by the diver.

d. Divers are prohibited from using the ladder to leave the board - If you go up, you must dive or jump into the pool.

e. Horseplay, running, and taking more than one bounce on the diving board are prohibited.

f. Only one person on board AND ladder at a time.

g. Divers should lift their heads after entering the water to avoid hitting the pool bottom.

h. When a diver surfaces, he or she must swim immediately to the nearest ladder and exit the pool.

i. Divers may not dive until the previous diver has reached the ladder.

j. Swimming and diving from the edges of the diving well is not permitted unless the diving well is deemed "closed" by the lifeguards.

k. If break is called, diver goes off board if on ladder or board.


a. Children who are 10-12 years of age may enter the pool without supervision only after passing a swimming test administered by the pool management staff. A record of the successful test will be kept on file in the guard house.

b. Children who are under 10 years of age must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible person (12 years of age or older) only after passing a swimming test administered by the Pool Management Staff. A record of the successful test and the parent's permission will be kept on file at the pool gate.

c. All non-swimmers and novice swimmers must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible person (16 years of age or older.) Non-swimmers require constant attention and may not be left unattended. Supervising parent or guardian must remain within arms reach of non-swimmers.

d. All children 12 and younger must leave the pool at 6 PM, unless accompanied by an adult (18 years of age or older).

e. All children in diapers using the main pool or wading pool must wear plastic or rubber pants over the diaper. DISPOSABLE DIAPERS ARE PROHIBITED. (Note: Failure to observe this rule may require the pools to be closed for a complete refiltering, as required by health regulations.

f. The pool manager may, for safety or disciplinary reasons, rescind any child's privilege to swim when not accompanied by an adult. Such action will be valid for a period not to exceed three (3) days unless extended by the Operations Chairman or the Board of Directors. This applies to all children under the age of 18.


a. To prevent excessive fatigue and chilling, the lifeguards will conduct 15 minute rest breaks each hour.

b. Swimmers younger than 16 years of age are required to leave the main pool upon signal of the break by the lifeguards.

c. Only swimmers age 16 and older may use the pool during breaks.


a. Children 6 years of age or older, and those who normally swim in the main pool, may not use the wading pool, even during a break.

b. All children using the wading pool must be accompanied by a responsible person (16 years of age or older) who must supervise the child from within the wading pool enclosure.


a. At the sole discretion of the pool manager, the use of aquatic toys, balls, or other such equipment may be permitted in the pool except when, in the judgment of the pool manager, the pool is too crowded to permit safe use.

b. Swim team equipment such as kickboards and backstroke flags, are only permitted to swim team members during their allotted practice hours. During regular pool operation hours, swim team equipment should be locked in the shed. Under no circumstances should the equipment be given out to the patrons.

c. The lap lane is to be used only by those swimming laps.

d. No playing catch over the pool.

e. Pets are not permitted in the pool or pool area at any time.

f. All refuse will be placed in the containers provided. Recycle bins are provided for recyclable materials.

g. Glass containers of any type are prohibited.

h. All swimmers must wear appropriate bathing suits. Cut-off jeans or similar clothing will not be permitted.

i. Running, pushing, wrestling, dunking, or causing any disturbance in or around the pool area is prohibited.

j. Abusive, offensive, or profane language is prohibited.

k. Chewing gum is prohibited in the pool area.

l. Food and drink is permitted only in the picnic area behind the yellow line, at the tables in the wading pool, and on the upper patio deck.

m. Members may consume alcohol on the Swim Club premises. The Board of Directors and/or the lifeguards reserve the right to limit/restrict this privilege as necessary. Local authorities will be notified if needed to enforce this policy.

n. All bicycles must be parked in the bicycle racks. For security, it is suggested that bicycles be locked to the rack.

o. No wheeled vehicles (bicycle, skate boards, etc.) are allowed within the pool enclosure, except for strollers and wheelchairs.

p. All members will respect the property rights of homeowners in the neighborhood. The use of lawns for shortcuts to the pool violate the rights of others.

q. Swim Club members and bona fide guests are permitted on Club property only when the pool is officially open and the lifeguards are on duty. Management personnel are permitted on Club property as required to perform maintenance and to conduct other pool business. No person shall use the pool unless it is officially open and the lifeguards are on duty. TRESPASSERS WILL BE PROSECUTED.

r. All injuries, which occur on the Swim Club property, must be immediately reported to the Pool Manager.

s. The cost of any property damage to Swim Club property will be charged to the member responsible for the damage.

t. The Swim Club will not be responsible for loss or damage to personal property. All lost/found articles will be turned in to the Pool Manager and held for 10 days, after which the items will be disposed of or donated to charity.

u. One lap lane will be reserved for lap swimming at all times. If there are no lap swimmers, the entire pool may be opened by the Pool Manager for general swim; however, the lap lane line will remain in place.

v. Portable music devices are not permitted in the pool area, except when operated with headphones so as not to disturb other persons.

w. Emergency phone calls only may be made on the business telephone in the pool office.

x. KRSC Staff are responsible for the safe and orderly operation of the pool. They have complete authority to eject anyone at any time from the pool enclosure, and to direct that person to vacate the pool property for the remainder of the day. Such action will be reported to the pool manager and the Board of Directors.

y. Serious or repeated infractions of the rules and regulations will be reported to the Pool Manager for appropriate action by the Board of Directors.

z. Members with comments or complaints regarding the operation of the pool should contact the Pool Manager and the KRSC President. Names and phone numbers are posted at the pool and can be found on the website under the Contact pull down menu.


a. Raft Night Schedule:

  • 5:00 pm Grill Opens
  • 5:00 - 5:40pm Open Raft/Swim
  • 5:40 - 10 years and under raft race
  • 5:45 - 6:00pmĀ  BREAK
  • 6:00 - 6:40pm Open Raft/Swim
  • 6:40 - 11+ raft race
  • 6:45 - 7:00 BREAK
  • 7:00 - 7:40pm Open Raft/Swim
  • 7:40 - 7:45pm Adult raft race
  • 7:45 - 8:00pm BREAK

b. No flipping rafts.

c. No swimming under rafts.

d. Do not allow rafts to be overloaded (no more than 3 persons per raft).

e. No rafts in deep end or the designated lap-lane.

f. No jumping from side of pool onto rafts.

g. At start of night and before the end of each break, an announcement of the raft night rules will be made.


a. All parties held at Kings Ridge must be scheduled with the Pool Party Coordinator.

b. Parties shall be scheduled for two-hour increments during regular business hours.

c. After hour parties are available, but subject to different terms and conditions. Please inquire with the Pool Party Coordinator.

d. Deposit must be paid prior to event.

e. All party fees must be paid at the conclusion of the event, using a fee schedule determined by the Pool Board and based on the number of members and guests entering the pool area.

f. Grill must be cleaned if used.


a. The speed limit on the premises (driveway and parking area) is 5 MPH.

b. Driving on the sidewalk or grass to avoid the speed bump is expressly forbidden.

c. Members and guests should park only in the Club parking area and avoid parking on the street if at all possible.

d. Parking in the Emergency Drive is prohibited.

e. DMV permit required for handicapped parking.

f. Maintenance of vehicles and overnight parking in the Club parking area is prohibited.

g. Bicycle riding and skate boarding in the Club parking area is prohibited, except when designated by KRSC Staff.

h. Drivers should be aware of the basketball hoop at the rear of the parking area and exercise caution when children are present.
